Man dies after fight at Westin Hotel in Copley Square

A stabbing during a fight between two workers at the Westin Hotel in Copley Square this afternoon left a 30-year-old man dead, according to a Boston police official.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 4:27 p.m. at the Back Bay hotel and found a 30-year-man victim bleeding from a knife wound, said Deputy Police Superintendent Daniel Coleman.
"He has since died," said Coleman, who did not identify the victim.
Officers took another hotel employee into custody, Coleman said. The fight and stabbing occurred in an employee-only area where hotel guests are not allowed.
Turner Fisheries, a restaurant in the hotel, had a sign on the front door saying it was temporarily closed.
"It looked like the cooks and the managers of the restaurant were being hauled to the station," said Joby Foxall, a tourist from Macomb, Ill., who won a trip to Boston through his wife's insurance company.
"I was a little nervous," Foxall said. "I've never seen anything like it."
