STUDENTS WARNED ABOUT DEADLY DECISIONS
By Maria Cramer and Sarah Schweitzer, Globe Staff
Brian Evans loved to climb the fire escape outside his window and perch on the rooftop of his Roxbury apartment building, to take in the sweeping view of Boston’s skyline.
Early Sunday, after returning from a party, the 21-year-old Northeastern University student scaled the roof again and fell four stories to the ground, the third area college student in three months to plunge to his death from a great height.
Tuesday, Northeastern officials said they would warn students not to take unnecessary risks, and Evans’s parents called on college officials around the city to start an information campaign, using their son’s death as an example of what can go wrong.
