Green Line's D branch moving again
By Mac Daniel, Globe Staff
The D branch of the MBTA's Green Line is up and running again today after a tree damaged an overhead power line this morning near Brookline Village, T officials said.
Crews fixed the problem around 1 p.m., according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo. Buses had been shuttling passengers between the Reservoir and Kenmore stations.
Service was impacted in both directions on the D branch. Other Green Line service was not affected by the accident.
A separate incident on Huntington Avenue earlier this morning temporarily delayed service on the E branch when a taxi turned into the side of a trolley near Evans Way. No one was injured.
