Missing 12-year-old boy found in Duxbury
By Globe Staff
A 12-year-old boy who ran away from home because he was afraid to go to school was found unharmed today after 15-hour search by police that included a helicopter and dogs.
The boy, Sam Dubin, was found about four miles away at a vacant home on Lovers Lane that once belonged to his mother.
Police said that Dubin crawled out of his bed at about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and rode his bike to the vacant home, where he spent the night.
After a massive search, Dubin called his father late this morning and explained where he was hiding, police said.
