Woman's body discovered in Merrimack River
By Patricia Wen, Globe Staff
The body of a 39-year-old woman was found this morning in the Merrimack River in Lawrence, less than two miles from where her parked car was discovered at a Methuen park.
The woman apparently worked a full day Wednesday at her job as a social worker. Her husband reported her missing shortly after 3 a.m., officials said. Police found her parked car near the Raymond Martin Park in Methuen at 4:34 a.m., said Methuen Police Sergeant Tod Himmer.
Later this morning, police pulled the woman's body from the Merrimack River near the Lawrence boathouse.
Police continue to investigate the case, though there is no immediate evidence of foul play.
