One student and one adult suffered minor injuries after a "small explosion" this morning at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton, a fire official said.

The student and adult were taken to Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, according to Easton Fire Captain William Downey.

The 9:40 a.m. explosion may have been touched off by a plumber's torch, said Downey, who added that the accident was still under investigation.

The incident occurred in the basement of a new building under construction at the high school. Several windows and a door were destroyed in the building, but there was no fire, Downey said
