Boston police today announced the arrest of a man in Delaware accused of fatally shooting a teenager in Roxbury on Feb. 8.

Boston police traveled to Delaware to arrest Jose M. Delacruz, 21, of Dorchester, according to a press release.

Delacruz is accused of shooting Tyrice Brown, 18, of Roxbury in a store on the corner of Warren Street and Blue Hill Avenue. Brown, a senior at Monument High School in South Boston, was rushed to Boston Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Boston detectives secured a murder warrant in Roxbury District Court and arrested Delacruz in Delaware with the help of US Marshalls and local police.

Delacruz has been charged as a fugitive from justice and will be arraigned in Delaware. When Delacruz returns to Boston, he will be charged with murder, police said.
