Relatives say shooting victim was 'in the wrong place at the wrong time'
By Scott Allen, Globe Staff
Family members have identified the young woman gunned down yesterday in broad daylight as 18-year-old Quinntessa Blackwell.
Blackwell was shot as she returned home from a convenience store on a quiet Dorchester street.
Blackwell's sister, Sharmaine Blackwell, says Blackwell was "in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Boston police declined to comment on the murder, the city's 10th so far this year, but Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis said last night that there were several witnesses to the slaying, which took place in front of the John P. Holland School.
