State Police ID truck driver who died in fiery Mass. Pike crash in Hopkinton

State Police today identified the truck driver killed Monday on the Massachusetts Turnpike as David C. Rhodes, 38.
The Enfield, Conn. resident was driving a 2007 Mack Semi-Tractor-Trailer west on the Mass. Pike near the Hopkinton-Westborough town line at 11:19 p.m. when he rear-ended a car carrier, police said.
Rhodes's truck burst into flames, and he was unable to escape. Police said he died on the scene. The driver of the car-carrier was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation, police said.
