The medical examiner is scheduled to perform an autopsy today on the body of a man in his 20s who was found dead Thursday on a beach on Cape Cod.

"There are no indications thus far that foul play in involved," said Michael O'Keefe, the district attorney for the Cape & Islands.

The body did not have any obvious signs of trauma, and it appears that the man drowned, O’Keefe said. The medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.

Authorities did not release the man’s name. His body was found Thursday on Scusset Beach in Bourne.
