One killed in Ashland car crash

A man was killed early this morning when his car crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming pickup truck on Chestnut Street in Ashland, police said.

Police were still trying to identify the man this afternoon.

Police Chief Scott Rohmer said the accident occurred at 6:41 a.m. near the intersection with Rosebay Drive. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

The driver of the pickup truck was treated for his injuries and released.
