Boston Foundation gives $28 million in grants

The Boston Foundation announced nearly $28 million in grants Thursday to dozens of local nonprofit organizations to fund causes that include education, the arts, elder care, and youth-oriented programming.

The largest grant, $225,000, went to the Citi Performing Arts Center to build efficiency, increase audiences, and "introduce a more strategic approach to aligning the performing arts and current potential audiences in Greater Boston," according to a press release.

The following is a list of the grants:
