Democrat Hillary Clinton today landed another round of endorsements in Massachusetts, securing the support of Suffolk Sheriff Andrea Cabral and 11 state legislators.

"I'm supporting Hillary Clinton because I want what's best for the country," Cabral, a Democrat, said in a statement. "She's intelligent, confident, and tested. Her grasp of foreign and domestic policy issues is extraordinary, and she has the respect of leaders around the globe. She's ready to do the job right now and that's exactly what we need.

On Monday, Mayor Thomas M. Menino threw his support behind Clinton. The Boston mayor has had ties to the Clinton family for years.

The state senators, who were all Democrats, who endorsed Clinton are: Robert Antonioni from Leominster; Cynthia Stone Creem from Newton; and Michael Morrissey from Quincy.

The state representatives, who were also all Democrats, are: Christine Canavan from Brockton; Anne Gobi from Spencer; Kevin Honan from Brighton; Michael Moran from Allston; Sarah Peake from Provincetown; Vincent Pedone from Worcester; Kathi-Anne Reinstein from Revere, and Patricia Walrath from Stow.
