Shooting death of Mattapan teen ruled homicide

The shooting death of a Mattapan teenager was ruled a homicide today by the state medical examiner’s office.

The body of Mariotis Harris, 17, was found in the woods near 90 Lorna Road on Sunday at 12:30 a.m., police said.

Harris's death is the 25th homicide in Boston this year, compared with 25 at this time last year. Police have not reported making any arrests.
