Mother resuscitates toddler found in backyard pool in Dennis Port
By Caitlin Castello, Globe Correspondent
A mother in Dennis Port resuscitated her 1-year-old son today after she pulled him out of a wading pool, police said.
The woman found her son facedown in the water in the backyard pool and called police at 11:55 a.m., according to Captain William Monahan of the Dennis police. The child may have been under water for three to five minutes, Monahan said.
When police arrived, the boy was crying and conscious. He was transported by helicopter to Boston Children's Hospital.
Police did not release the name of the mother or the child. The boy's condition at Children’s Hospital was not immediately available.
