A 39-year-old Northampton man pleaded not guilty today to manslaughter and other charges in a July 19 fatal hit-and-run accident in Norton.

Timothy Corbin was ordered held on $500,000 cash bail at his arraignment this morning in Attleboro District Court, the Bristol County district attorney's office said in a statement.

Corbin was charged in the death of 48-year-old Bryan Nadeau, who was riding his bicycle along Route 123 when he was struck from behind. Nadeau was thrown a long distance and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Corbin, who also faces charges in Norfolk County, is slated to be back in Attleboro District Court for a probable cause hearing on Aug. 21.
