Police searching for driver after Lynn hit and run

Lynn police are looking for the driver of blue Jeep Cherokee who is accused of hitting a pedestrian early this morning and driving off.

Shirley Bennett, 48, was hit while crossing Western Avenue at 1 a.m. after leaving Players Sports Bar, police said. The Lynn resident was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in stable condition and may be released today.
