Boston police investigate death of bicyclist

Boston police are investigating the death of a bicyclist who was hit by a car on Tremont Street in the South End this morning.

Authorities said the man on the bike was hit shortly before 11 a.m. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A mangled blue bike was found at the scene.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the car. The name and age of the victim have not been released.
