AT HENRY Kissinger's recommendation, President Bush is reading "A Savage War of Peace," the classic account of the Algerian war of independence, 1954-1962. It holds up as well today as it did when published in 1977, but it's an odd choice for the president as he escalates the war in Iraq. (Full article: 831 words)
