Is the right afraid?

IT WAS with a raised eyebrow that I read Jay Severin's March 30 op-ed article, "Liberal talk radio? No one will buy it." The tone was dismissive toward liberal talk radio, but there seemed to be an undercurrent of fear in Severin's writing. He is certainly afraid of the new competition. It was as if Bill Gates wrote an article telling software development companies that they should not even try since the market is already cornered.

Perhaps Severin is afraid that some of his best and brightest will not continue to toe the party line, and may flip the dial the next time his one-sided discussions go down the short road to nonsense-ville.
