Don't go north; stay and fight
TO THOSE Americans who are considering running off to our neighbor to the north -- Canada -- because of George W. Bush's reelection, I say, "don't do it, we need you here."

Like the disaffected, I have become ashamed of this country, and I no longer feel any patriotic fervor. But that doesn't mean we should leave. We have to put up a real opposition.
We already know that the Bush administration has been a disaster for the economy and diplomacy. George W. Bush will be remembered as the worst president in this nation's history. His followers gloat and talk about spending their political capital. We have to make sure they never get the chance to fulfill their false mandate, but we can't do that from up north.
If we want to keep this country from repeating the failures of past empires, we have to stay and fight. I want to keep the nation together, and be proud to be an American citizen again.
