Move Mallard to the editorial page

WHY NOT move Mallard Fillmore to the editorial page where it might be less offensive to the refined sensibilities of the majority of Globe readers, who cringe at all things that deviate from the liberal religion? It could then stand as a counterpoint to the constant drumbeat of the anti-Bush, anticonservative, anti-everything-not-conforming-to-the-liberal-line that is the required theme of your daily political cartoons.

That might take a little heat off Jeff Jacoby, your token conservative, and perhaps sell more newspapers to the conflicted group that loves your Sports page but does not like giving money to support your annoyingly liberal agenda.
