The governor flip flops on abortion

SO MITT Romney flipped from being maybe, kinda pro-choice to being opposed to not just abortion but birth control (''Romney vetoes law on pill, takes aim at Roe v. Wade," Page A1, July 26)? No reasonable person can honestly say that a high-dose birth control pill taken a few hours after sex -- without any evidence of conception and well before implantation -- is the moral equivalent to a surgical abortion. How does Romney feel about a woman who takes two birth control pills after she misses a day?

Citizens of the country beware: The man seeking the Republican nomination for president doesn't know how much it costs to ride the subway yet finds it necessary to punish those who ''choose" not to afford health insurance. This man of supposed great moral values is pushing the death penalty at the same time that public defenders are resigning because of the low salary they receive from the state.

Go back to campaigning in the red states, Governor Romney. We in Massachusetts liked you better when you ignored us.
