The buck stops in Washington

PRESIDENT BUSH'S suggestion that churches and charities can do what our government should be doing is passing the buck.

For a long time our government has been shirking its responsibilities to provide the funding for education, health, and infrastructure that is necessary for our democracy to function well.

We must all remember that charity is not justice.
