Governor's reasoning misses point

OUR GOVERNOR revealed his limits when he said, ''It's a mistake for our laws to put the rights of adults over the needs of children" (''Romney eyes bill exempting religious groups on bias laws," March 11).

I would prefer to see both the needs of children and the rights of adults met by our laws.

It is my sincere hope that a competent nonbiased, nonprofit organization take over the adoption work of Catholic Charities.

Best efforts must be made to place children with good parents, be they gay or straight. What is not ''straight" is Romney's thinking.
