Room for bigots

HOW WEIRD and offensive was the March 16th letter by Colleen Roller about a picture of a gay kiss. There are loads of pictures I object to in the Globe every week -- from the soft-core home-redecoration-for-rich-people photos in the Sunday magazine to the mostly white, mostly heterosexual wedding shots -- but I don't take their appearance as license to spew venom. The Globe needs to do a better job of figuring out which letters deserve to appear in the small space it allots each day: straight-up bigotry probably should not make the cut.
