KICKED. I FEEL kicked. Kicked in the head, kicked in the stomach, kicked in the - you've pulled what has been the only sure warm spot of my days' close: the comic strip "Red and Rover."
No matter how jagged my day may have gone, I could count on a smile and even a spontaneous giggle at the last item I always read in the Globe. Such a simple premise, a boy and his dog, and always a good-natured take on life, simply yet artfully drawn. No politics, no cynicism, no waggish editorializing. Just a lovely little truth. Gone. (And to have been replaced with that scrap "Cul de Sac"!)

I THINK it is outrageous that you replaced "Red and Rover." What is "Cul de Sac" about anyway? "Red and Rover" was one of my favorite comics. My dad and I read it almost every day. I don't have a dog, so I felt like Rover was my dog sometimes.
Please bring my dog back!
