IT IS disturbing that Daniel Byman would write, and the Globe would publish, an op-ed defending an illegal government practice (" Renditions and the rule of law ," Oct. 15). Rendition is, simply put, kidnapping. Bynam writes, "Renditions, of course, violate the laws of the country in which they occur." He does not address the question of whether they also ...
