« Food for thought on starving the beast | Main | The importance of public broadcasting » Tuesday, June 20, 2006Immigration StallThe House is slamming on the brakes: calling for more hearings on immigration reform. The Federation for American Immigration Reform is praising the move, saying the House leadership is reaching out to give the public a chance to be heard. But it has been clear for years that reform is needed. Holding hearings seems like a delaying tactic. Will enough voters demand real action on the issue? Maybe.
