Not so alien after all?

If there is life on Mars, a Harvard geneticist thinks it resembles something we already know. Now, he's trying to prove it.

Since the completion of the human genome project, biologists have been fanning out to study the genetics of virtually every imaginable life form: armadillo, potato, slime mold, various fungi, and many, many others.
