« Superhero Politics II | Main | Protest by suicide » Thursday, November 9, 2006Onan: Cleared of chargesSuperman isn't the only one to have his reputation slandered. I'm pilfering the link from Arts & Letters Daily, but this article is worth it for the first few paragraphs alone. Robert Fulford, of the Canadian newspaper the National Post, defends the honor of the hapless Onan. Let's just say there's no evidence that the biblical Onan, from whose name onanism derives, did what he's famous for. Now that's a bad rap. Posted by Christopher Shea at 11:31 AM
