``OVER THE HEDGE" (2006)
Wildlife learn to cope (and then some) with encroaching suburbia in another computer-animated offering -- but one that succeeds on the strength of its inspired voice cast, including Bruce Willis, Steve Carell, Garry Shandling, and William Shatner.
Extras: New animated short; games; production and voice cast featurettes; filmmaker commentary. (Paramount, $29.99)
``FEAST" (2006)
Director John Gulager's ``Project Greenlight" winner is a splatter tale of strangers in a bar tangling with creatures thirsty for more than Sam Adams. A tad too familiar to be the cult fave it seemingly aspires to be. With Jason Mewes (``Clerks") and Henry Rollins.
Extras: Unrated footage; filmmaker commentary; production featurettes. (
``BILLY WILDER SPEAKS" (2006)
The late Hollywood legend looks back on ``Sunset Boulevard," ``Some Like It Hot," and his many other classics in a series of wide-ranging interviews conducted by German filmmaker Volker Schlondorff.
Extras: Extensive additional interview footage. (Kino, $24.95)
``SPACEMAN: A BASEBALL ODYSSEY" (2006)
The Red Sox' own Bill Lee was one of those featured in 2002's ``Gift of the Game," an engaging documentary about baseball enthusiasts on a goodwill tour among junior Cuban ballplayers. Here, Lee returns for an equally worthwhile hour-plus feature spotlighting not only that effort, but also his storied, eccentric life and career.
Extras: Commentary by Lee and the filmmakers; bonus interview footage. (Hart Sharp, $19.98; available now)
``THE CARS UNLOCKED:THE LIVE PERFORMANCES" (2006)
Previously unreleased concert material gets dusted off for this 20-song collection. Interviews, sound check footage, and the band's home videos round out the hour long disc.
Extras: Live 10-song CD; photo and lyric booklet. (Docurama, $29.95)
REISSUES
``THEY ALL LAUGHED" (1981)
Peter Bogdanovich's stylish but thin romantic comedy follows bumbling detectives tailing possibly unfaithful wives. With Audrey Hepburn, Ben Gazzara, John Ritter, and Dorothy Stratten.
Extras: Director commentary; Bogdanavich interview conducted by indie filmmaker Wes Anderson; unreleased footage. (HBO, $19.98)
``THE MAGUS" (1968)
It's Michael Caine with a twist -- or several -- as he stars opposite mind-game master Anthony Quinn, then plays a jewel thief in ``Deadfall" (1968), and spoofs noir alongside Natalie Wood in ``Peeper" (1975). Fair mid-career efforts for Caine, but not on a par with, say, ``Get Carter."
Extras: Production featurettes. (Fox, $19.98 each)
FOREIGN
``ONLY HUMAN" (2004)
In Dominic Harari and Teresa Pelegri's comedy, a pretty Jewish Spaniard (Marián Aguilera) brings a nice, professorial Palestinian guy (Guillermo Toledo) home to her outspoken Madrid family. But the whiff of ``Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" is faint. Instead, this is an exuberantly acted farce, with a robust Norma Aleandro as mom. (Magnolia, $26.98)
