Brady 'excited' about fatherhood

Better late than never, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has finally publicly acknowledged his impending fatherhood. Don Yee, agent for the three-time Super Bowl champ, said yesterday "Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy." Yee's single-sentence statement to the Globe was the Brady camp's first public comment since the football star's ex, 36-year-old actress Bridget Moynahan, revealed over the weekend that she's carrying the QB's baby. According to her publicist, Moynahan, who dated Brady for nearly three years before they broke up in December, is more than three months pregnant. Notwithstanding Yee's statement yesterday, a baby born out of wedlock is probably not what the Brady bunch, all big Catholics, had in mind. Tom Brady Sr. studied for seven years to be a Maryknoll priest, and during a visit to Rome in 2004, No. 12 actually met Pope John Paul II. Still unclear is whether Brady learned of the pregnancy before or after his relationship with Moynahan was over. Us Weekly, quoting a friend of Brady's, said the couple did not know about the baby when they broke up, but the football hero believes Bridget tried to "make him look like a jerk" by talking about it while he was in Paris with his new best friend, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Brady and the beauty have been relentlessly pursued by paparazzi during their visit this week to Paris -- YouTube has a five-minute clip of the cute couple kissing at the Cafe de la Paix -- and that's not likely to change. But no stranger to scrutiny, Gisele is supporting Brady, 29, amid the baby brouhaha. " [Bridget ] is trying to make Gisele upset. It isn't working. They are doing really great and they have a lot in common," an associate of the Victoria 's Secret siren e - mailed us yesterday. "Gisele was never so happy, not even when she dated Leonardo Di Caprio." The two are off to Milan next, where Brady will watch Bundchen walk the runway as a favor to her fashionable friends Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. (Gisele's the star of D&G's current "The One" campaign.) The couple are expected to be back in the Big Apple by Friday, where they'll likely hole up in Bundchen's penthouse apartment in the West Village. Said Gisele's pal: "I bet they will get married anytime soon."

Boston’s bad boys in Old Blighty

It's been a rough several months for Aerosmith, but the bad boys of Boston rock are back. Looking like a semblance of their sinister selves, Steven Tyler's troupe was in merry old England over the weekend to promote "Hyde Park Calling," a two-day music fest in June that Aerosmith will help headline. (The shows will be part of the band's first European tour in eight years.) The photos, which were shot Monday at London's Hard Rock Cafe, are the first with Tom Hamilton since the bassist was treated for throat cancer last August. Conspicuously, he's wearing a black scarf around his neck in the pics.

The Hub's claims to fame are many: It's home to the Kennedy clan, Daisuke Matsuzaka, and, of course, the Boston Babydolls. The burlesque bunch helped the city set a world record over the weekend for the most burlesque dancers simultaneously twirling their tasseled pasties. Despite the late arrival of the event's celebrity host Jai Rodriguez, the three-day Great Boston Burlesque Expo was a big hit. (In keeping with the requirements of Guinness World Records, many pics of the provocative dancers were snapped.) Rodriguez, one of the "Queer Eye" guys, was waylaid by JetBlue, and almost didn't show. "I've never seen so many tassels twirling," said dancer Betty Blaize. "Burlesque is way better than stripping."

The lovely and, as it turns out, talented Victoria Zdrok was at Mansion over the weekend, where the onetime Playboy Playmate hosted a party thrown by Silk Vodka. Not just another pretty face, the Ukraine -born model has a law degree and a Ph D in clinical psychology . (Zdrok's dissertation was on "The Effect of Judicial Instructions on Jury Perception of Defendants' Refusal to Testify.") A few Patriots stopped by to sample the Silk, and Mark Wahlberg's brother Jimmy was in the house.

Actor Danny Glover was in the audience when his film "Bamako" screened at the African Film Festival at the MFA.
