Seems Patriots QB Tom Brady has been bitten by the racing bug. Turns out, No. 12 doesn't just horse around at the Kentucky Derby, he's also part owner of a 3-year-old filly named Guts Game. Brady bought into the Little Red Feather Racing partnership that includes hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, New York Mets catcher Paul Lo Duca, and NBA star LeBron James's "people." Since being purchased for $165,000 in April 2006, Guts Game has earned $75,800, says Little Red Feather's Billy Koch. But don't look for Guts Game in races like the Preakness this Saturday. Brady's filly runs in allowance races, several levels below the Triple Crown. But don't hold that against her. "She's a great horse," Koch says.
Hats on for Conservancy party
As one of the organizers of yesterday's Emerald Neck lace Conservancy's Party in the Park, Molly Dunne left nothing to chance. Her hat was a Patricia Underwood stunner that matched her blue Escada dress, with a firefly necklace from Tiffany. "You really don't have many chances to wear hats to events in Boston," Dunne lamented. "Like one a year." The heady fete drew 600 guests to a tent on the Fenway.Garner touts a moms-eye View
Ben Affleck's better half is pitching a TV show that's described as "The View" for mothers. The show would be hosted by Lauren Sanchez , former host of "So You Think You Can Dance," with occasional appearances by Jennifer Garner. "I call Jen the Barbara Walters of the show," Sanchez told People magazine. Sanchez , whose husband, agent Patrick Whitesell, reps Ben, called the show "for moms by moms, " with topics such as "how to get your kids to sleep, how do you choose the right school, or how to keep your marriage together after having kids."Kerrys got game
Senator John Kerry has found an entertaining way to kill time on his frequent cross-country flights. According to Bay Area blogger Lil Mike, the senator was recently spied playing a video game on his Blackberry -- for three hours. "Here's the guy that I voted for for President of the United States sitting next to me totally engrossed in a video game. . . . As the game sped up, (Kerry) got really into it and his body would jerk as he was trying to make the right moves." . . . Speaking of Kerry, he and Pats linebacker Tedy Bruschi were in D.C. yesterday, puffing a proposed bill to raise awareness about strokes. Bruschi suffered a minor stroke in '05, but managed to return to the playing field. The linebacker also hung out with Senator Ted Kennedy.Names can be reached at names@globe.com or at 617-929-8253. ![]()
