It's a baby boy for "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton. The 31-year-old Spice Girls singer gave birth to a son, Beau, at London's Portland Hospital yesterday, a spokesman said. He is the first child for Bunton and boyfriend Jade Jones. The Spice Girls -- Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Brown -- had a string of global hits before splitting in 2001. In June they announced they were reuniting for a tour that will begin later this year. . . . Former "Roseanne" star Sara Gilbert, 32, welcomed a daughter, Sawyer, on Aug. 2, according to Variety. Top-selling rapper Ja Rule is in a legal tussle with a North Jersey contractor who claims he got stiffed for $8,000. Joel Tobia said the 31-year-old, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, hired him to fix a leak at his $3.5 million Saddle River mansion. Tobia said he and six others did the job in six days but were paid $5,000 for $13,000 in work. (AP)

A homeless man pleaded guilty yesterday to attacking a Joshua Reynolds painting with a hammer in London's National Portrait Gallery. Mark Paton, 44, was arrested Wednesday after repeatedly hitting the $3.4 million portrait of 18th-century lexicographer Samuel Johnson. He admitted criminal damage and possession of a hammer with intent to cause criminal damage during a hearing in Westminster. Lawyer Euan MacMillan said Paton had given no explanation for the attack. Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw will be together again, this time on the big screen. Chris Noth, who played Sarah Jessica Parker's love interest on HBO's "Sex and the City," is slated to reprise his role in a feature film spun from the long-running TV series. Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will also reprise their roles for the romantic comedy. (AP)

50 Cent believes his new album will outsell Kanye West's upcoming disc, and he's betting his solo career on it. Both 50 Cent and West have albums due out Sept. 11. 50 Cent, who has sold better than West, has been riled by forecasts that sales of West's "Graduation" could rival those for his "Curtis" CD. "Let's raise the stakes," the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop website SOHH.com in an interview posted yesterday. "If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on Sept. 11, . . . I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out any more solo albums." (AP)

Gwyneth Paltrow, who has two children with husband, Chris Martin, says she's not ready to have more babies. "I don't think so. Well, definitely not right away," the 34-year-old actress tells W magazine in its September issue, which will be on newsstands next Friday. Paltrow and Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, have a 3-year-old daughter, Apple, and 1-year-old son, Moses. "I have a dream version where I think, maybe in four years I'll have two in a row really quickly again -- how fabulous to have a whole bunch of them!" she says. "But then at that point, when everyone's potty-trained and sleeping through the night, are you really going to go back?" (AP)

Grammy award-winning R&B singer D'Angelo was fined and received suspended jail sentences yesterday on charges stemming from a 2005 single-vehicle accident. The Richmond, Va., native, born Michael E. Archer, pleaded guilty in Powhatan, Va., to driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence. (AP)

Christina Applegate and her actor husband, Johnathon Schaech, have officially parted ways a year and a half after he filed for divorce. The pair's split was finalized in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, according to court documents obtained by CelebTV.com. (AP)
