From the crime scene to the court room
October 10th
Ever wonder what was going on inside the unhinged craniums of John Wayne Gacy or Son of Sam as they planned their murders? Or how the Unabomber was finally outed? Author John Douglas (right) can tell you. The former chief of the FBI's Investigative Support Unit kicks off the "Crimes, History & Mystery" series at the Museum of Science with a chilling inside look at some of the country's most notorious crimes. (Note: Not suitable for children under 17.) The renown criminal profiler was initially pegged to play himself in "The Silence of the Lambs" - the movie was drawn from his investigations - before the role went to Scott Glenn. Douglas will be signing copies of "Inside the Mind of BTK," his study of the Wichita serial killer. The museum's "Crimes" series continues on Oct. 17 and Nov. 17. 7 p.m. Free.
