Mmm's the Word

THURSDAY NIGHTS JUST GOT SWEETER. BELLY UP TO THE DESSERT BAR.

The new Taza Chocolate Lounge combines the intimacy of a neighborhood bar with the cool factor of a dance club – plus dessert. And it's how Alex Whitmore, founder of Taza Chocolate in Somerville, is hoping to hook sweets-eaters on his company's single-origin chocolate (from, say, one region in Costa Rica). That shouldn't be hard with fondue, truffles, and ice cream on offer. The club is in session Thursdays, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m, taking over Mariposa Bakery in Central Square. There's no cover charge, prices start at $3 for hot chocolate, and the password is "Mmm."
