WINE 101, a wine education and tasting event at Back Bay Events Center in Boston, will be held the evening of April 27. It benefits the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, which provides nonmedical services on a 10-acre landscaped and wooded property in Harvard for women and their families coping with breast cancer. Catch spring officially unfurling at the NEW ENGLAND WILD FLOWER SOCIETY'S GARDEN IN THE WOODS OPENING WEEKEND today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the society's headquarters in Framingham. THE ANNUAL ART IN BLOOM event at the MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, April 21 through 24, features floral arrangements by 66 New England garden clubs and several professional fl oral designers. THE SOUTH END GARDEN TOUR, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., starts in front of the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, and includes community spaces and private gardens. Advance tickets are $17 and are available from local businesses, including Aunt Sadie's, 18 Union Park Street, and Whole Foods Market, 15 Westland Avenue. Tickets on the day of the tour are $20 and will be sold at the BCA. Proceeds support the South End/Lower Roxbury Open Space Land Trust.
