Natural Good Looks
It's minerals, not chemicals, that make a new organic makeup line pop.

When Suki Kramer couldn't find beauty products that suited her finicky skin, she created her own line of organic skin creams and cleansers, Sukipure. That was eight years ago, and this fall, her Northampton-based company is debuting Sukicolor natural makeup (in eco-friendly cardboard and glass packaging), sold locally at Whole Foods markets. The colors in the eye shadow, mascara, tinted moisturizer, concealer, and lip and cheek stain come from minerals, not chemicals, including iron oxide for reds and mica for black. Pretty is, pretty does. -- Janice O'Leary
