Foxborough, Oct. 3: The Patriots are a clandestine operation, as all sports teams are. [Bill] Belichick has the press conference Monday, and then reporters and photographers are allowed to go into the locker room for 40 minutes. The players know
the media's coming, so they all tend to disappear. ... We were all in the locker room this
day, shooting some player who was being interviewed, and I looked
around and noticed Chad Brown had his head buried in his towel. I
thought it really summed up the kind of tough season they were having.
While the other photographers weren't looking, I turned and prefocused
on him, hoping that it would happen again. ... I don't think anyone even noticed.
