It was very exciting to see the other designers' dresses on the high schoolers and also the Macy's prom dress fashion show. I had a great time meeting Aimee's family. I thank them so much for being very supportive of both my prom dress and my senior fashion show. I just cannot wait to see her gorgeous prom pictures!

April 8
I had the first muslin dress fitting last weekend. There was some adjusting to do around the waist and hip area. Overall it went very well. Yesterday I started beading the front section of the dress. It’s fun, but it also seems like it will never end.

March 21
It was very exciting to actually meet Aimee Nehiley and her mother last week. I took her measurements and discussed the color of the dress and length and design lines. On Sunday, the fabric shopping trip went very smoothly. I got yards of beautiful double-satin fabric and muslin to start making the dress. I also was very pleased with the staff at Fabric Place and how supportive they were. I began draping on a dress form yesterday. From here, I will be creating patterns and the first muslin dress. I can’t wait to see the first muslin!
