CHADDS FORD, Pa. -- Ann Wyeth McCoy, a painter, pianist and composer from one of America's most famous art families, died Thursday. She was 90.
Ms. McCoy was the daughter of artist and illustrator N.C. Wyeth and sister of painter Andrew Wyeth.
She died of a heart attack, said Jennifer Maguire, a spokeswoman at the Brandywine River Museum, which has close ties to the Wyeth family.
The Philadelphia Orchestra performed one of her compositions in 1934, when she was 19 years old.
Other compositions of hers were performed by the Kennett Symphony, the Germantown Symphony and the Main Line Symphony, among others.![]()
