Peter Henry Osborne Claudy, 44, former partner at a Boston-based venture capital group, died Friday of cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. earned his bachelor's degree in history from Yale University and master's degree from Harvard Business School in 1991. That same year he started working as a general partner for M/C Venture Partners, a venture capital investor in communications and new media. Mr. Claudy was president of the New England Venture Capital Association. He lived in New York before moving to Boston 15 years ago. He enjoyed sailing and spending time with his children.
He leaves his wife of nine years, Patricia (Painter); his parents, Donald and Elizabeth of Greenwich, Conn.; a son, Henry; a daughter, India; and a sister, Lisa Claudy Fleischman of Chevy Chase, Md. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Church in Boston.
