ALS survivor's story reaching theaters

NEWTON

"So Much So Fast," the story of a Newton man who struggles with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is now reaching theaters and winning praise.

Stephen Heywood is at the center of the film, which was shot over a period of four years by Newton-based filmmakers Steven Ascher and Jeanne Jordan. But the film also shows the extraordinary support network that has rallied around him, a story in the Living/Arts section reports today.
