The family of a 17-year-old girl told Wrentham police that their daughter, after seeing news reports, recalled that she might have struck something in the vicinity of the accident. Police did not identify the teenager. An investigator said earlier this week officers recovered bits of paint and pieces of the vehicle at the scene.
