A Middlesex County jury awarded $14.5 million yesterday to the family of a 30-year-old Chelmsford woman who died the day after thyroid surgery at Brockton Hospital from uncontrolled bleeding that the plaintiff's lawyers said stemmed from air trapped in her abdomen. (Full article: 492 words)
