Today's Globe: freezing tumors, comparing stents

Freezing tumors may help relieve the extreme pain of cancer that has spread to the bone, US researchers said yesterday.

Abbott Laboratories' drug-coated Xience stent is effective and safer than older devices to prop open clogged arteries, US regulators said.
