Today's Globe: MassHealth mailing error, deadly falls

A mailing glitch by MassHealth last month left 16,000 residents without proper notice that they might be losing their healthcare coverage or information on how to appeal a denial of coverage.

Nearly 8,000 older Americans who fell and banged their heads died from brain injury in 2005, according to a government study released yesterday.
