In Saturday's Globe:

UnitedHealth Group Inc., one of the nation's largest health insurers, has stopped marketing an insurance plan to Massachusetts senior citizens with disabilities after state officials received dozens of complaints that the company was using abusive and misleading sales tactics.

Dr. Josef E. Fischer, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's controversial chief of surgery, was asked to resign because his management style was no longer appropriate for the hospital, chief executive Paul Levy said yesterday.

A Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center patient yesterday sued Dr. Loren J. Borud, a plastic surgeon with a history of alcohol and drug abuse, for allegedly performing his operation while impaired.
