Former advisor to gov named CEO of insurance group

Lora M. Pellegrini was named President and Chief Executive Officer today of the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, according to the trade group.

Pelligrini, who has more than 25 years of experience in public policy at the local, state and federal level, had been serving as the group's acting president.

Prior to coming to the association, Pellegrini was a chief advisor to Gov. Deval Patrick and had also served as vice president of government and community relations for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. She also worked for Gov. Michael Dukakis and served as an assistant state attorney general.
